This 90-minute lecture and discussion will explore Ethics of Care, a “different voice” (Carol Gilligan) of moral reasoning that reframes ethical obligations through relationships between people.
Our values shape our ethics which in turn affect our everyday decision-making. In times of distress, conflict or harm, we may fall into patterns or reactions that do not reflect our ethics, care or concern for others. Care Ethics provide a framework for relational moral reasoning that centers empathy, compassion and care for one another.
